Ride your favorite animal on the wildlife carousel or burn some energy at one of the zoo’s playgrounds!
Are your kids bursting with energy? If you’re looking for fun things to do with children, the zoo’s huge play areas have loads of activities for kids of all ages. The toughest decision will be deciding where to go first – the carousel or one of the zoo’s great FREE playgrounds. There are always lots of fun events for kids at the zoo!
Wildlife Carousel
Located beside the Tiger’s Den gift shop, and FUN for kids of all ages, the zoo’s wildlife carousel hosts 30 unique figures representing endangered animals from all seven continents. Riders can also choose to take a spin in one of two wheelchair-accessible chariots – choose between a fanciful peacock or an ornate butterfly. The carousel is open daily from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Zoo Mini Express Train
The Zoo Mini Express train will be operating on weekends starting in April, between the hours of 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. Please note that the train is visitor and weather dependent.
Our little train is now fun for all ages; adults can ride the train, too! Tickets can be purchased at Tiger’s Den and/or the wildlife carousel.
