Welcome to the 2016 Calgary International BLues Festival in Calgary, Alberta!
The 12th annual Calgary Bluesfest runs July 25-31, featuring a full week of the best in blues. Workshops, public performances and special events culminate in 4 days & nights of non-stop music on Mainstage at Shaw Millennium Park followed by the nightly Twilight Blues Series dance parties.
Starring the award-winning vocal brilliance of Shemekia Copeland, Grammy Award-Winning New Orleans funk giant Jon Cleary & the Absolute Monster Gentlemen, the legendary horn-heavy, hard-edged blues and R&B of Roomful of Blues, Canadian greats MonkeyJunk, who are pairing with songwriter and harmonica man Paul Reddick for a double headed blast, jump-jive JUNO nominees, The 24th St Wailers, Cobalt Prize winner Conor Gains and his Ramblin’ Moon Band… and many more… this year’s festival is sure to be one of the best parties of the summer!
