Welcome to the 2016 Maritime Fiddle Festival in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia!
Fans of fiddle music from all over Canada and the U.S. will be tapping their toes in Dartmouth on the weekend of July 5 to 7 at the Maritime Fiddle Festival, which will be kicking off its 64th annual weekend of concerts, competitions and fun.
The Maritime Fiddle Festival, started in 1950 as a fundraiser to build St. Thomas More church, has evolved into an annual event that draws crowds from all over Canada and the U.S. For the first time this year the 1,500 to 2,000 in attendance will be watching competitions and concerts at the East Dartmouth Community Centre on Caledonia Road.
Every year the festival welcomes participants, bus tours, and audiences from across North America and around the world.
Whether you are a fiddle player interested in competition or just have a love of great music, join us in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia for some of the best old-time fiddle entertainment anywhere in the world.
