Spruce Meadows offers an incredible experience for fans and riders alike. From novice rider development to the Olympics, Spruce Meadows supports show jumping like no other facility in the world. Starting in February with our first Classic Series event, through to our Oktoberfest tournament, there’s over $6 million in prize money to be won for the 2016 season.
Spruce Meadows is open 365 days of the year. Visitors are welcome to visit the grounds, tour through the stable areas and watch our trainers exercise the horses.
In the spring and summer, Spruce Meadows features some of our indoor tournaments and all of our exciting outdoor tournaments. Beginning in June, the Summer Series Tournament season begins with five exciting weeks of international show jumping. From novice rider development to the Olympics, Spruce Meadows supports show jumping like no other facility in the world. General admission is $5.00, and reserved seating tickets can be purchased on the Spruce Meadows website.
Pack a picnic with the family to view the flowers in bloom, the newborn foals or enjoy fishing in the pond. Spruce Meadows is located on one of Calgary’s few remaining wetland areas- the Radio Tower Creek Environmental Reserve. Muskrats, ducks, geese and owls are just some of the many inhabitants of the wetland. The Real Canadian Superstore Playground is also located in the park like setting of Spruce Meadows.
Visit the Spruce Meadows Shop for all of your riding, gifting or souvenir needs located in the Riding Hall. Host your wedding, tradeshow or corporate event at one of our five hosting venues. Get active! – With the Spruce Meadows Run Series and lace up for one or all six scheduled charity running events between June and December (2K, 5K, & 10K).
In the fall and winter, Spruce Meadows offers indoor tournaments in October and the International Christmas Market, presented by TELUS held over three weekends in November. Enjoy skating on the pond under the moonlight, or tour through Spruce Meadows famous Christmas lights display throughout the holiday season.
