Digby Scallop Days 2016

Digby Scallop Days is a celebration that takes place during the second weekend of August.

Our festival is celebrated over a three day period, starting on Friday and ending on the Sunday. Our princess events will begin two days in advance with a tea open to the public and of course our coronation to crown our 2016 Scallop Queen. Every year we have different themes, but as always, the festival reflects on our local scallops and the fleet that harvests them. Scallops from Digby, the Scallop Capital of the World, are known worldwide for their delicious taste.

Last year was our 40th Anniversary making Scallop Days Digby’s longest running festival. We are now in the process of planning a packed schedule of events over the three days, including scallops of course. Our newest event will be returning, horse pulls! We are also happy to have old favorite events like the Woodsman Competition, scallop events, children’s activities, car show and an awesome fireworks display to celebrate. There are too many events to list here. Our schedule will be updated on our website as our events are confirmed.
